Ee Móvil APP

Overview
EE Móvil is the mobile extension of Mi Portal Especial for the Puerto Rico Department of Education’s Special Education Program. It allows parents and guardians to access IEPs, evaluations, therapies, and appointments in real time.

Our role focused on UX/UI design, collaborating with developers and staff to create an accessible, intuitive, and mobile-first experience.

Challenge
The main challenge was transforming the complex, web-based MiPE platform into a simple mobile app. Users needed faster navigation, real-time notifications, and clearer access to essential information.

Process
We designed wireframes and flows for IEP tracking, therapy updates, and transportation status, and developed a clean visual system aligned with institutional branding. Accessibility, readability, and reusable components were core priorities.

Outcome
The final app delivered a human-centered interface that simplified processes, improved accessibility, and provided instant access to student data. EE Móvil transformed a bureaucratic system into a light, inclusive, and effective mobile experience.
