The creative direction centered on capturing both the physical character and sonic identity of this iconic jazz venue, known for historic recordings by artists such as John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Charles Mingus, and Bill Evans.

The packaging recreates distinctive elements of the venue’s entrance—including its illuminated signage, doors, locks, glass panels, and artist marquee—while incorporating textures and color treatments that evoke the club’s nocturnal ambiance. These visual elements were carefully crafted to reflect the spirit of the recording and reinforce the album’s concept, Vanguardia Subterránea.
